We are very pleased with the service provided by Geoffrey, owner. We live in Chico, CA. Our dryer has a warning red light: check vent. We should have got that warning a long time ago. Geoffrey was able to come the next day. We have a roof vent that was absolutely clogged almost all the way through to the dryer. He showed me photos of the mess and explained how roof vents work. He is professional and friendly and has the necessary equipment for the job. His prices are reasonable and lower than other companies. Clogged dryer vents are a common cause of house fires. Geoffrey services duct cleaning in several counties all over N. California which includes Butte, fortunate for us. I highly recommend him and will call him back in a blink.
I wouldn't normally stop to review an AC installation, but I must give credit where it is due; Essex did not disappoint. The diligent salesman, technicians, and support staff helped me pick the perfect unit for my home, arranged a convenient install time (despite my often difficult work schedule), and have managed to become the easiest part of my entire renovation. Thanks guys, keep up the good work!

You should have your HVAC system serviced twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. This will help to ensure that your system is running efficiently and effectively, and it will also help to identify and prevent any potential problems.
A programmable thermostat can help you to save money on your energy bills by allowing you to control the temperature of your home when you are not there. You can program your thermostat to turn down the heat in the winter and turn up the air conditioning in the summer when you are away or asleep.
The best way to choose the right size HVAC system for your home is to have a load calculation performed by a qualified HVAC contractor like us. This calculation will take into account the size of your home, the number of windows and doors, the insulation value of your walls and attic, and the climate in your area.
